The master-piece “Potential” 3WAY Backpack is designed for versatility, combining business functionality with durability and comfort. With the ability to switch between backpack, briefcase, and shoulder bag modes, it adapts seamlessly to travel, outdoor, and urban settings. Its large-capacity design and thoughtful organisation make it as practical as it is refined.
The body is constructed from MasterteX-07, an original fabric engineered for strength and durability. Its surface is treated with a water-repellent finish, while the reverse side is waterproof, ensuring resilience against the elements. Additional MasterteX fabrics and CORDURA Ballistic® nylon are used in key areas, reinforced with waterproof leather for durability. Outlast® technology is incorporated into the back panel and waist area, maintaining comfort by regulating temperature — absorbing excess heat when warm and releasing it when cold.
Storage is highly functional: the main compartment opens fully for visibility, with multiple zipped pockets at the front, top, bottom, sides, and back for organisation. A dedicated side-access pocket secures laptops, and the carry-bar-compatible back strap makes it travel-ready. The shoulder harness includes the patented “M-STRAP” system, reducing load stress, and can be tucked away or removed when not in use. Premium touches like leather zip pulls, a redesigned heavy-duty buckle, and series-common metal D-rings highlight the craftsmanship.

At that time, the concept of creating bags specifically for men was just beginning to take shape, and during this formative period, Master–Piece carved out its own unique identity and persona. In 2008, they made a visionary move to create their own manufacturing facility. This strategic decision enabled Master–Piece to navigate challenges that many producers in developed countries encounter, such as securing production capabilities and skilled labour. Their apprentice craftsmen now work alongside seasoned "master craftsmen" from earlier generations, ensuring that the knowledge and essence of "Made in Japan" continue to thrive and be transmitted to future generations.
Master-Piece is a brand dedicated to creating products that expertly blend style and practicality. Originating from Osaka, Master-Piece bags showcase the precision of Japanese craftsmanship with a focus on durability and style in every detail. Each bag is produced in their own factory, and is entirely made in Japan.
