Cheaney Shoes.

Cheaney Shoes bring together traditional English shoemaking, refined materials and more than a century of Northamptonshire craftsmanship. Founded by Joseph Cheaney in 1886, the brand has built its reputation on beautifully made footwear with a strong focus on quality, durability and timeless style.

In 1896, Joseph Cheaney and his son Arthur moved the company to the Desborough factory that remains central to the brand today. For many years, Cheaney produced shoes for some of the finest retailers around the world before developing its own name into a respected British footwear brand. That long manufacturing heritage continues to shape the collection, with each pair carrying the experience and precision of generations of shoemaking.

Cheaney remains committed to producing footwear entirely made in England. Cutting and stitching are carried out in the Northamptonshire factory, maintaining the traditional skills and high standards that have defined the company since the beginning. The brand’s dedication to craft has been recognised with major awards, including the Queen’s Award to Industry and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

Our Cheaney shoes collection at Jeanstore includes a versatile range of footwear for smart, casual and heritage wardrobes. Expect classic Oxford and Derby brogues, refined penny loafers, sturdy country boots and other well-made leather styles designed for long-term wear. Premium materials, careful construction and timeless silhouettes make Cheaney a natural choice for those who appreciate proper British shoemaking.

Whether worn with tailoring, chinos, selvedge denim or smart casual layers, Cheaney shoes offer dependable elegance with genuine heritage behind them. Built with care and made to last, these are shoes and boots that reward proper wear, care and appreciation over time.

Cheaney Shoes at Jeanstore

Cheaney shoes reflect one of the longest and most respected traditions in English shoemaking. Established in 1886, the brand has remained rooted in Northamptonshire, with its factory still occupying the same site it moved to in 1896. Over the years, Cheaney built its reputation through careful craftsmanship, producing fine shoes to exacting standards and developing a name associated with quality, refinement and lasting value. That heritage still defines the brand today, with every pair carrying the same commitment to proper English shoemaking.

What sets Cheaney apart is its dedication to producing footwear entirely in England, with all cutting and stitching carried out in its own factory. That continuity of skill and production gives the collection a genuine sense of authenticity, while the clean styling and dependable construction make the shoes as practical as they are timeless. They are designed to be worn for years, improving with care and regular use.

Our Cheaney shoes collection brings together well-made English footwear with classic character and lasting everyday appeal. Alongside the shoes themselves, the range also includes the accessories and shoe care needed to keep them looking their best, from polishes and brushes to beech shoe trees and practical care essentials. Together, they reflect the same attention to quality and detail that has made Cheaney such an enduring name in fine footwear.
