Goral is a fourth-generation, family-run shoemaker with roots dating back to 1936. Originally established as a small family workshop in Poland, the business was built on generations of shoemaking knowledge and a simple belief in doing things properly. In 2005, the family moved both home and craft to Sheffield, a city renowned for its industrial heritage and tradition of skilled British manufacturing.
Today, Goral operates from its Sheffield workshop, where a team of around 40 skilled craftspeople produce footwear using traditional techniques refined over decades. Many members of the team have been with the company for more than 20 years, bringing an exceptional depth of experience to every pair. Each shoe passes through more than 200 individual stages, from pattern cutting and clicking to skiving, closing, lasting, stitching and final inspection.
The Goral collection at Jeanstore reflects this heritage-led approach, bringing together timeless footwear designed for long-term wear. Rather than following a fast-moving seasonal calendar, Goral focuses on considered styles made in small batches, with every pair designed to be resoled, rebuilt and worn for years.
Materials are selected with equal care. Goral works with premium leathers including Horween Chromexcel, Shell Cordovan and C.F. Stead suede, chosen for their durability, texture and ability to develop a rich patina. The result is British-made footwear defined by honest construction, skilled craftsmanship and enduring character.
