The Barbour Bedale Jacket is a true icon of British outerwear, introduced in 1980 as the brand’s first short, lightweight waxed jacket. Originally designed by Dame Margaret Barbour for equestrian use, its shorter length, oversized fit and rear vents allow easy movement while keeping the practical character that made the Bedale a lasting favourite.

Crafted from mediumweight 6oz waxed cotton, it offers dependable weather protection with a classic heritage feel. A brass two-way ring-pull zip, studded Stormfly front, corduroy collar, bellows pockets and moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets keep the design rooted in traditional Barbour functionality.
