Nigel Cabourn.

Our Nigel Cabourn collection at Jeanstore brings together shirts, tops, accessories and more, selected for their exceptional fabrics, purposeful construction and unmistakable heritage character. Across the collection, military, workwear and expedition influences meet British and Japanese craftsmanship, creating clothing with real substance and individuality.

Nigel Cabourn has spent more than 40 years designing clothing outside the usual cycle of fashion. Inspiration comes from his remarkable archive of more than 4,000 vintage garments, including 20th-century workwear, European and American military clothing and historic expedition equipment. Alongside almost 3,000 reference books, this archive provides a wealth of original fabrics, functional details and silhouettes to reinterpret.

The Jeanstore selection reflects the different sides of the Nigel Cabourn brand. The Authentic Line is made in the UK using heritage materials such as Harris Tweed, Ventile and oilcloth, while the Main Line is made in Japan and explores specialist Japanese fabrics, dyeing processes and production techniques. Lybro brings another dimension through its roots in hard-wearing British workwear.

At Jeanstore, we select Nigel Cabourn for its combination of exceptional materials, authentic detailing and uncompromising craftsmanship. From everyday layers to more distinctive statement pieces, the collection offers clothing designed for those who value heritage, quality and garments with a genuine story behind them.

Nigel Cabourn at Jeanstore

The Nigel Cabourn collection at Jeanstore brings together a carefully chosen range of shirts, tops, outerwear, knitwear, trousers, accessories and more, all united by the brand’s unmistakable approach to heritage design. Rich in character and built around exceptional fabrics and purposeful details, the collection offers a distinctive mix of British and Japanese craftsmanship with influences drawn from military clothing, traditional workwear and historic expedition gear.

Nigel Cabourn has spent more than 40 years developing clothing outside the conventional fashion cycle. His designs are informed by an extraordinary personal archive of more than 4,000 vintage garments collected from around the world, supported by almost 3,000 reference books documenting explorers, sporting figures and moments in history. Original garments and their functional details provide the starting point for collections that reinterpret the past rather than simply reproduce it.

Fabric and manufacture are fundamental to the Cabourn approach. The British-made Authentic Line works with heritage materials including Harris Tweed, Ventile and oilcloth, while the Japan-made Main Line takes advantage of specialist Japanese fabrics, dyeing methods and processing techniques. Lybro brings a further workwear dimension, drawing on the practical heritage of the British label established in 1927.

At Jeanstore, we select Nigel Cabourn pieces for their individuality, quality and enduring relevance. From everyday layers and shirts to substantial outerwear and characterful accessories, the collection offers authentic heritage clothing where the fabric, construction and story behind each design are every bit as important as the finished garment.
