Description

The Iron Mordant Foxfibre® Heavyweight Waffle Henley in Coyote 80 is crafted for warmth, durability, and natural character, cut with a relaxed fit for comfortable layering. Made from a dense 502gsm (14.8oz) waffle knit, the textured face traps heat for excellent insulation while maintaining breathability through its 100% organic cotton composition. Knit in Wakayama, Japan, on traditional circular knitting machines, the fabric is built to last while developing a vintage handfeel with wear.

The rich brown hue is achieved without synthetic dyes, using Foxfibre®—a naturally coloured cotton organically grown on a single farm in New Mexico. Blended at 80% with 20% Extra Long Staple organic cotton, the result is one of the deepest, richest tones in the Foxfibre® range. To further enhance this natural colour, the fabric undergoes an iron mordant treatment, where fibres are soaked in an iron-rich solution that deepens and intensifies the earthy shade, adding unique depth and character.

Designed with raglan sleeves for freedom of movement, the Henley also features a binder collar with a buttoned placket finished with real horn buttons, and a curved hem for a casual silhouette. Flat seam stitching ensures durability and comfort. Expertly crafted in Japan, it represents the pinnacle of natural fibre innovation and heritage craftsmanship.
