The Amami Mud-Dyed Loopwheeled T-Shirt is a thoughtful piece that brings together traditional Japanese fabric-making and natural dyeing in a simple everyday form. With its loopwheeled construction and understated silhouette, it has the kind of quiet character that lets the material do the talking. Finished in brown, the colour carries a soft depth and warmth that feels especially rich and organic.

The fabric is knitted on a traditional loopwheel machine, using only the weight of the yarn itself to create a texture with natural softness and slight unevenness that modern knitting machines cannot easily replicate. For dyeing, the T-shirt uses the centuries-old Amami mud-dyeing technique, drawing colour from the Techi tree and iron-rich mud formed from geological strata more than 1.5 million years old. Each piece is dyed carefully by hand, resulting in a tone with a depth and warmth that artificial dyes cannot reproduce.

M and L sizes are made with tubular construction and no front or back seams, while XL and 2XL sizes feature front and back seams.
