Description

The Samurai Jeans SJST-SC01 is a slim-fit T-shirt made as part of the Samurai Cotton Project, using 100% Japanese organic cotton grown in Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture. Built with a substantial 16oz weight and a heavily slubby texture, it offers the feel of a true heritage jersey piece while retaining the simplicity and versatility of a classic everyday tee.

Entirely made in Japan, the cotton is grown in Sasayama, the knitting is carried out in Wakayama, and the sewing and dyeing are performed in Kyoto. The short-staple cotton creates an extremely textured handfeel, while the Kuri dye is made using dye extracted from the astringent skins of Tamba chestnuts, producing a tone that sits between beige and brown. Construction is finished with cotton thread, a three-needle binder neck and 1960s vintage Union Special Flat Seamer 36200 sewing. The fit is slim, so sizing up is recommended.
