Description

The Loake ‘Edward’ is a premium Calf Leather brogue, featuring Goodyear welted rubber soles for greater longevity and grip. Edward uses the ‘pennine’ last shape, and is available here in a ‘G’ fitting. These men’s shoes are designed and engineered in Northamptonshire, England, and handmade in Loake's high-grade factory in England.

THE LAST: Pennine
Pennine is another Country last shape, but in G width, which is a wide fitting. It is a roomy last, designed to give the wearer extra space within the shoe. If you normally take a medium width in Loake shoes, you may find a half size reduction to be necessary in order to obtain the right fit.

THE STYLE: Brogue
No English gentleman’s wardrobe is complete without a pair of handcrafted Goodyear welted brogues. With punched holes (originally designed to allow water to drain from the shoe).

THE COLLECTION: 1880 Country
Loake's collection of rugged English Made country styled Shoes & Boots combine all of the traditional Loake craftsmanship that you would expect along with storm welts and robust rubber soles, designed for wearing outside of the city. No compromises have been made in producing this versatile and attractive collection, which are all made in Loake's Northamptonshire factory, located in the heart of England.

Since 1880, Loake Shoemakers has produced some of the world’s finest footwear from their Wood Street factory in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Family-owned since the very beginning, Loake are proud of their history and heritage as traditional shoemakers.

The famous Goodyear construction for which Loake are known is a traditional and intricate process, with origins that can be traced back over 300 years.
