Crafted by skilled artisans of the Uno Hake workshop, which has been producing specialised brushes since 1917, it combines natural horsehair with a magnolia wood handle for a timeless, functional design. The brush uses hair collected from the Hakuba horse ā tail hair for firmer bristles or mane hair for a softer touch ā each selected and treated with oil to achieve the ideal texture.
Constructed using the traditional hake technique, the brush is formed from separate pieces of wood. Each strand of hair is carefully inserted by hand into drilled holes, ensuring tightness and durability, before the pieces of wood are bonded together. This handmade process creates a brush that produces a rich, thick lather when used with soap, offering deep pore cleansing, gentle exfoliation, and stimulation of blood circulation.
