The Mashiko Ceramic Rice Cooker offers a beautifully simple way to prepare fluffy steamed rice using traditional Japanese cooking methods. Designed for gas or open flame use, it brings warmth, function and quiet craft to the everyday kitchen.

Made in Japan from durable Mashiko pottery, the clay is rich in silicate and iron for excellent heat resistance and a reassuringly weighty feel. The double-lid design helps retain steam while also serving as measuring tools, with the inner lid used for rice and the outer lid used for water or as a serving bowl once cooking is complete.
