The Daruma Doll is a traditional Japanese talisman of perseverance, hope and good fortune, made to accompany the journey towards a goal or dream. Hand-painted in Takasaki, Gunma, it carries over a century of craftsmanship and ritual meaning, making it a thoughtful gift or personal reminder to stay focused.

Made from hand-painted papier-mâché, the Daruma is designed with symbolic detailing throughout. The left eye is painted when setting a goal, with the right eye completed once that goal is achieved. Its crane-shaped eyebrows and turtle-shaped moustache represent longevity in Japanese folklore, adding deeper meaning to this rounded symbol of resilience.
