    Description

Ingleborough is an 8 eyelet hiker boot, finished in Chicago Tan Chromexcel leather. With a Brit Grip rubber sole and heel for paramount comfort and Goodyear welted for durability, Ingleborough is a casual country boot made to last. Handcrafted in Cheaney's Northamptonshire factory.

Chromexcel leather is a combination tanned leather that undergoes at least 89 separate production processes and takes 28 working days to complete. Chromexcel is the classic "pull-up" leather meaning that, when folded and flexed, greases and oils that were infused into the original hide migrate, causing a very nice tonal effect. The leather also develops a 'refined ruggedness,' a character of the leather whereby creases and furrows will quickly appear through the material, giving the boots a worn-in, vintage aesthetic.

    LAST: 12508

Created as the backbone of the country collection, the 12508 has become a Cheaney classic since its introduction in 2009. This last has a real presence on the foot with either Dainite, Commando or double Leather sole options and a generous, rounded toe. Acting as the foundation for a variety of styles from Derby boots to Monkey shoes, the 12508 is wonderfully versatile update on the classic 4436.

Sizing advice: Usually stay true to size
Generous on the toes, nice comfortable fit, can go half a size down for narrow/flat feet.

    Last: 12508
    Width Fitting: F (Average)
Lining: Fully leather lined with full leather insole
Sole: Goodyear welted Itshide Brit Grip rubber sole & heel

    Cheaney Shoes.

Joseph Cheaney established the company in 1886, and in 1896, along with his son Arthur, they moved to the site which the factory occupies today.
During the first 80 years of business, the factory made shoes exclusively for some of the finest retailers around the world, branded to their individual company requirements.

Northamptonshire is renowned as the home of quality English shoemaking, and Cheaney still leads the way with all styles still handmade in the original factory, using only the highest quality materials and the craftmanship and attention to detail they are renowned for.
