Filson.

Filson at Jeanstore brings together rugged outdoor clothing and accessories from one of America’s great heritage outfitters. Founded in Seattle in 1897 by C. C. Filson, the brand was built to serve prospectors heading north during the Klondike Gold Rush, where clothing needed to be dependable, warm and genuinely fit for purpose.

From the beginning, Filson’s reputation was shaped by honesty, quality and durability. The brand produced tough goods for extreme conditions, including Mackinaw wool clothing, blankets, knitwear, boots and outdoor equipment, always using the best materials available and improving designs through real customer experience.

Long after the Gold Rush, Filson continued to outfit hunters, anglers, engineers, explorers, mariners and outdoorsmen with rugged clothing made for hard use. Pieces such as the Filson Cruiser helped secure the brand’s place in workwear and outdoor history.

Our Filson collection includes durable clothing, Filson bags and accessories with a strong outdoor heritage. Practical, hard-wearing and built with purpose, Filson offers timeless pieces made for those who value quality, function and lasting character.

Filson at Jeanstore

Filson is one of the great names in American outdoor clothing, with a history rooted in the Pacific Northwest and shaped by the demands of harsh conditions and hard use. Founded in Seattle in the 1890s by C. C. Filson, the brand built its reputation during the Klondike Gold Rush, supplying prospectors and settlers with clothing and equipment made to handle extreme cold and unforgiving terrain. From the outset, Filson stood for honest workmanship, dependable materials and the belief that quality mattered most when conditions were at their worst.

That same rugged spirit still defines the brand today. Filson’s early years were built around outfitting people who depended on their clothing for survival, producing Mackinaw wool garments, blankets and other essentials designed for real outdoor use. The brand’s close connection with its customers helped shape products that were practical, durable and comfortable, and that straightforward approach remains central to its identity. There is a clear sense of purpose behind Filson, with garments and accessories that feel built rather than simply made.

Our Filson collection brings together the pieces that reflect that long-standing outdoor heritage, from hard-wearing clothing to practical everyday accessories. Expect rugged outerwear, dependable layers and goods designed with the same emphasis on material, workmanship and utility that made the brand so respected in the first place. This is a collection built around lasting quality, outdoor function and timeless American character.
