Baracuta - Iconic jackets for nearly a century

Founded in 'Cottonopolis' (Manchester) in the early 20th century, Baracuta is best known for its iconic G9 jacket. The G9 started life as golfing overwear and quickly became a favourite of the American celebrity golfing set. From there it was fast adopted by the singers and movie stars of the age - the G9 has been sported by everyone from Steve McQueen to Elvis - and its status was soon cemented as a classic. Baracuta jackets have since become associated with the mod and punk subcultures and to this day endure as a symbol of sophisticated masculinity - modern fans include Tom Hardy and Liam Gallagher.
