Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2001, the label was fuelled by dry denim, punk music, and a passion for doing things differently. Founders Maria Erixon Levin and Joakim Levin set out to build more than clothes; they built a community.
From the beginning, Nudie focused on transparency, organic cotton, fair wages, and human rights.
By 2007 they were already repairing jeans for free, long before ‘circular fashion’ became a buzzword. Today, their repair shops, resale programme, and denim recycling initiatives make them leaders in sustainability.
