Description

The Samurai Jeans SJST-SC02 Japanese Cotton Henley is a premium everyday staple made entirely from Samurai’s own Japanese organic cotton. Cut with the easy character of a classic three-button Henley, it combines a soft, slubby handfeel with the kind of thoughtful construction that makes it a strong standalone piece or a refined layering option.

The fabric is made using #10 slub yarn from hand-harvested Samurai Cotton, grown in Sasayama, Hyogo Prefecture, without fertilisers or pesticides. The yarn is woven in Wakayama on vintage looms, then sewn in Kyoto by a traditional workshop using cotton sewing thread and a 1960s Union Special 36200 flat seamer for the seams. The garment is finished with flat seams, a triple-needle binder neck collar, a three-button placket and genuine shell buttons. The Kuri dye uses colour extracted from the astringent skins of Tamba chestnuts, creating a tone that sits between beige and brown.
