The Hip-Hop Capsule features vibrant colours on gum soles that call back to sought-after colourways from the 2010s, when underground hip-hop took the Old Skool to new places. The updated Premium build is the same iconic Old Skool silhouette refined for today with enhanced cushioning and an improved fit. Gum sidewalls, higher foxing tape and archival branding honour the original details of '90s era-Vans footwear. Vans go back, way back.
Brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren started the company in California in 1966, then known as The Van Doren Rubber Company. The Vans #44 Deck Shoe (now known as the Authentic) was born.
To this day, Vans has stayed true to their roots in Skateboarding, and its associated subcultures. The classics range still contains the original lineup, and the constant evolution of the brand has seen new technologies and innovation deliver new models that are not only fit for purpose on your board, but look just as great on the streets.
