Understated, stylish and practical, this rugged toe-capped Derby shoe is ideal for the hard-working, hard-walking man. In robust Brown Zug Grain, with bellows tongue, leather uppers and leather linings along with a storm welt and a Commando stitched sole to guarantee comfort and durability. Please note this is a 6 fitting shoe for wider feet.
THE LEATHER: Zug grain leather is a type of leather that is characterised by its distinctive pebbled texture. It is made from high-quality cowhide and is typically embossed with a pattern that resembles small pebbles or stones. The pattern is achieved through a process of stamping the leather with a heavy roller that has a raised pattern on its surface. Scotch grain leather is known for its durability and water resistance, which makes it a popular choice for Tricker's shoes and boots and the outdoors. This leather is typically thicker than a standard calf leather.
THE FIT: This last has been used for decades. It is part of the Tricker's history and character as England's oldest shoe manufacturer. The size (length fitting) of Tricker’s footwear made on this last (4497s, 6 fitting) is wider than their standard 5 fitting last. We recommend dropping at least a half size from your regular UK size.
THE SOLE: The Commando Sole - the brand's original country boot sole and the choice of adventurers and military throughout history. These full rubber soles take a bit of breaking in, but they provide excellent durability and grip across all terrain - particularly in the countryside. Tricker's commando soles are supplied by ITSHIDE, a Northamptonshire based producer with over 150 years of experience producing high quality raw materials for the boot and shoe trade.

Trickers shoes and boots are 100% made in their Northampton factory, the shoemaking capital of the world. They train and develop skilled craftspeople who live and breathe shoemaking, keeping an essential trade alive and well. You won’t find more skilled craftspeople than those within the Tricker’s Factory.
Tricker's were awarded the Royal Warrant in 1989 for shoemaking services to HRH The Prince of Wales. This was a result of years of service and something they are very proud of. The Royal Warrant is recognition of a business' quality across all aspects of what they do. This is includes quality of product, customer service, ethics and approach towards sustainable practices.
All sizing information is for guide purposes only.

differ from these measurements and we cannot guarantee the item you receive
