The 1967 CPO Shirt in light brass cord channels the rugged practicality of the U.S. Navy’s original Chief Petty Officer shirt and elevates it with a richly textured, heavyweight corduroy. Traditionally a hard-wearing wool overshirt built for life at sea, the CPO has long since crossed into civilian outdoor wear — and this updated version stays true to that heritage while adding thoughtful modern refinements.
The fabric is a standout: a 500g/m² corduroy woven in Germany by the historic Kindermann mill, using exclusively organic cotton. The result is a dense, warm, deeply ridged cloth with a beautiful brass tone that softens and gains depth with wear. The silhouette stays regular and functional, with two classic chest pockets and the addition of two side-entry hand-warmer pockets for everyday practicality.
