Description

The Paraboot Barth is an iconic boat shoe with genuine maritime heritage, originally developed in the 1970s when the French Navy called on Paraboot to equip submariners. Its classic shape, traditional last and slightly rounded toe give it an easy, timeless profile, while the hand-sewn construction keeps the feel supple, elegant and true to its moccasin-inspired roots. For the best fit, take half a size down from your usual shoe size.

Made in Europe from fine leather, the Barth uses Blake stitching, a technique Paraboot has used since the late 1960s and one directly inspired by American Indian moccasins. Built without a midsole, the shoe remains flexible and close to the foot, while the natural gum sole adds comfort and grip for everyday wear. The leather lace is a key detail, tanned differently from the upper so it can be tightened over time as the leather softens and stretches.
