Elmer by Swany

When it comes to gloves, few brands have as much history as Elmer. Their story starts all the way back in the late 19th century, when keen craftsman Elmer Little moved to the aptly-titled city of Gloversville in Upstate New York to hone his trade as a glove maker. Previously called ‘Stump City’, this small settlement in the Mohawk Valley earned its name thanks to its glove-making prowess—and was at one point known as the ‘glove capital of the world’. In short, it was the perfect place for Elmer to establish his brand, and in 1893, Elmer Little & Sons was born.

Combining high-quality deerskin leather with an exceptional level of detail, Elmer soon became one of the most successful glove companies in the United States—keeping countless hands warm and out of harm’s way. From ski gloves to baseball mitts, Elmer’s designs were functional, hard-wearing and wholly unique. Today, not much has changed, and whilst they now design their gloves in Japan instead of Gloversville, they’re still constructed to the high level of craftsmanship that Elmer Little was renowned for. You’re in safe hands.
