Description

The Studio D’Artisan 8187 Suvin Gold Long Sleeve Henley is crafted using Suvin Gold cotton, widely regarded as one of the finest extra-long staple cottons in the world. This exceptional material is the first-generation cross between Sujata cotton from India and Sea Island cotton from the Caribbean island of St. Vincent. Grown exclusively in Tamil Nadu in southern India, Suvin Gold is extremely rare, with only around 1,500 to 2,000 bales produced each year.

Suvin cotton is known for its remarkably fine fibres—around 2.8 microns—along with exceptional fibre length. The raw cotton naturally contains high levels of wax and oil, which give the fabric its distinctive silky lustre, smooth drape and soft, supple hand. Even after repeated washing, the fabric retains its luxurious feel and structure. Knitted on a circular knitting machine, this long sleeve Henley allows the natural softness of the cotton to be experienced directly, delivering a refined texture often compared to cashmere while still being 100% cotton.
