Description

This men's casual plain long sleeve inlay french terry T-shirt is made in Japan and designed and manufactured by Japan Blue Jeans.

This item is constructed from French terry jersey knit fabric, similar to sweatshirt fabric, and features a simple long-sleeve T-shirt design with a crew neck, raglan sleeves, and straight-cut cuffs and hem without ribbing. The fabric is a 16.5oz, 18-gauge tightly knitted inlay French Terry jersey made from thick 100% cotton yarn with a unique inlay texture. The surface of the fabric has a rugged, slub-like texture with a natural unevenness, offering a rich and distinctive appearance. It has a firm, structured feel, reminiscent of vintage American workwear, with a dry and substantial thickness. The inner side of the fabric has a towel-like looped texture similar to the reverse side of a sweatshirt. This looped structure allows for excellent breathability by promoting airflow and naturally absorbing moisture.

Japan Blue Jeans' inlay fabric is tightly knitted with thicker-than-usual yarns. Additionally, an extra yarn is incorporated into the knitting process, giving the fabric a stiff, rigid, durable feel with minimal drape. This results in a fabric that resists stretching, shrinking, and fading, allowing it to maintain its shape over time. The fabric is thicker than a typical T-shirt but thinner than a standard sweatshirt, making it a perfect mid-weight piece. It combines the characteristics of both T-shirts and sweatshirts, with a sharp design that lacks ribbing at the cuffs and hem, making it suitable for wearing on its own or as a layering piece under a jacket. Additionally, as part of the finishing process, the garment is pre-washed (also known as one-wash) to minimise shrinkage and give it a slightly faded look. The ribbed crew-neckband is designed for extra durability, crafted by sandwiching the body fabric between ribbing and sewing it with a cover stitch. The raglan sleeves, which have seams running diagonally from the neckline to the underarm, offer greater freedom of movement compared to traditional set-in sleeves. The cuffs and hem are finished with a clean, straight cut, folded and sewn with double stitching, without ribbing.

This item has a square-shaped fit that is moderately roomy in the chest and shorter in length, offering a generous and relaxed silhouette. The relaxed fit around the torso provides comfort and ease, while the shorter length adds a stylish, cropped look.

Made in Japan

Japan Blue.

Japan Blue Jeans are a Japanese denim maker from Kojima, Okayama, Japan.
Japan Blue believe that the core of making jeans is making denim. Taking part in all processes that involve making jeans - choosing cotton, spinning, dyeing, and sewing ensures they have full control over the jeans they make.

Almost 10 years ago, Hiroki Kishimoto of Japan Blue Co. Ltd. started the brand Japan Blue Jeans. With decades of experience with denim, he first focused on the European market and then later on the domestic market in Japan. Importing cotton from various countries to spin the yarn and weave the fabric in Japan. A big part of JB's background includes using fabric from Collect, an internationally popular fabric maker, known for its selvage denim. All Japan Blue products are made in the same area where their headquarters are located in Okayama prefecture, Japan.
