Description
A warm overshirt made from 100% wool.
Filson's Jac-Shirt is an outdoor staple that provides the versatile warmth that only 100% wool can. The fabric is crafted with a tight weave that delivers an optimum balance of breathability and wind resistance while providing durability for decades of service. Wool’s unique structure makes it naturally water-resistant, moisture-wicking and warm even if it gets wet. It also allows wool to release dirt and odours, making care and maintenance an easy matter.
For decades, mankind has tried to manufacture fabrics mimicking wool’s performance. The resulting fleeces and soft shells can perform specific functions quite well, but none can provide the all-around performance of nature’s original miracle-fibre. The design is clean and straightforward, with a straight hem for untucked wear. Made for work and active use, the fit is relaxed for room to move without binding. The chest-pocket buttons are hidden to prevent snagging. There may have variations in plaid pattern matching, making each shirt unique.

Filson.
Born in 1850, C. C. Filson inherited his father's pioneer spirit and love of the outdoors. After homesteading in Nebraska and roaming the country as a railroad conductor, he moved to the small city of Seattle, Washington in the 1890s. Filson's timing couldn't have been better. By 1897, the Great Klondike Gold Rush was on, and thousands of fortune hunters were stampeding into Seattle, headed north. Armed with a strong work ethic, a reputation for honesty and several years' experience outfitting Pacific Northwest settlers and prospectors, C. C. Filson was ready to stake his claim to fame.
Filson continued to make his goods from the best materials obtainable, and guaranteed every piece of merchandise. If he didn't stock an item a customer needed, he custom-made it for him. Filson's name became synonymous with reliability, satisfaction and honest values. By the 1960s, Filson's reputation as the premier outfitter for outdoorsmen had spread around the globe. In addition to being stocked by retailers of quality outdoor wear, Filson garments were being ordered by mail from places as far away as Greenland.
All sizing information is for guide purposes only.
Where possible we provide individual product size guides. If these aren't
available we provide a generic brand size guide. Individual garments may
differ from these measurements and we cannot guarantee the item you receive
will match these measurements exactly.
Many brands also have a level of tolerance in size differences
between the same item - this is usually 0.5 inches.
If no size guide is shown below, it means there is not one available at
present for this item and it will be added if/when it becomes available.
