    Description

The Tin Cloth Hunting Jacket by Filson is a classic piece of outdoor clothing and a prime example of the sturdy, functional fashion that characterises the traditional American company. Since its foundation, Filson has always relied on durable materials and well-thought-out designs to meet the demands of outdoor enthusiasts, hunters and nature lovers – and the Tin Cloth Hunting Jacket is no exception.

Made from Filson's famous Tin Cloth, an incredibly durable and waxed cotton material, this jacket is made for the harshest conditions. The material is extremely abrasion-resistant and water-repellent, and provides reliable protection against wind, rain and thorns – perfect for hunting trips or other demanding outdoor activities. The waxed surface offers high durability and a patina that will become unique over time, giving the jacket even more character.  This Filson jacket also impresses with its functional design: it offers numerous spacious pockets that have been specially designed for hunting and outdoor use. Two large patch pockets on the front offer space for ammunition or other hunting utensils, while side pockets keep your hands warm. The Tin Cloth Hunting Jacket also features a sturdy back pocket with easy access that serves as a “game bag” and is perfect for hunting.

The jacket is cut generously to allow full freedom of movement, a distinct advantage for outdoor pursuits. The high collar provides additional protection against the wind, and the sturdy press studs and durable zipper are designed to be easy to use even in cold and wet conditions. For added functionality, the jacket can be combined with other Filson layering pieces to keep you comfortable even in low temperatures.

With the Tin Cloth Hunting Jacket, Filson delivers an authentic and durable garment that impresses with its unparalleled durability and functional utility. The jacket is not only a favourite among hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, but also a stylish statement for those who value quality, function, and classic design.

    Filson.

Born in 1850, C. C. Filson inherited his father's pioneer spirit and love of the outdoors. After homesteading in Nebraska and roaming the country as a railroad conductor, he moved to the small city of Seattle, Washington in the 1890s. Filson's timing couldn't have been better. By 1897, the Great Klondike Gold Rush was on, and thousands of fortune hunters were stampeding into Seattle, headed north. Armed with a strong work ethic, a reputation for honesty and several years' experience outfitting Pacific Northwest settlers and prospectors, C. C. Filson was ready to stake his claim to fame.

Filson continued to make his goods from the best materials obtainable, and guaranteed every piece of merchandise. If he didn't stock an item a customer needed, he custom-made it for him. Filson's name became synonymous with reliability, satisfaction and honest values. By the 1960s, Filson's reputation as the premier outfitter for outdoorsmen had spread around the globe. In addition to being stocked by retailers of quality outdoor wear, Filson garments were being ordered by mail from places as far away as Greenland.
