The Carhartt WIP S/S Delray Shirt is a lightweight casual shirt designed for easy wear in warmer weather. With its clean button front and camp collar, it has a relaxed, open look that works naturally as an everyday summer layer.
Made from lightweight lyocell-cotton twill, the fabric combines softness and drape with a smooth, easy-wearing handle. The blend gives the shirt a lighter, more fluid feel than traditional all-cotton twill, making it especially well suited to warm conditions and relaxed daily use.

Carhartt WIP, short for Work In Progress, was established in 1994 by Edwin Faeh as a European evolution of the original American workwear brand Carhartt. While Carhartt’s roots reach back to 1889, when Hamilton Carhartt began making durable duck and denim overalls for labourers, Carhartt WIP takes those hard-wearing foundations and reinterprets them for a modern audience. Classic workwear shapes, robust fabrics and utilitarian details remain central to the brand, but they are adapted through sharper fits, seasonal collections and a distinctly contemporary point of view.
What makes Carhartt WIP so distinctive is the way it bridges authentic workwear heritage with underground culture. The brand’s iconic yellow “C” motif is as closely associated with late ’90s hip hop, skateboarding, graffiti and electronic music as it is with factories and manual labour. From Detroit and Berlin’s techno scenes to skate communities across Paris, New York and Seoul, Carhartt WIP has grown through genuine cultural connection rather than surface-level styling. Its collaborations, publications, films, record projects and creative partnerships all reflect a brand deeply embedded in the worlds that wear it.
Today, Carhartt WIP continues to refine the balance between function, durability and everyday style. Pieces such as chore coats, double-knee trousers, active jackets, overshirts and canvas staples carry the spirit of American workwear while feeling completely at home in modern wardrobes. With its focus on sturdy construction, practical design and cultural relevance, Carhartt WIP represents workwear that has lived beyond the workshop - clothing built with purpose, shaped by communities and made to be worn hard.
