The MTE Sk8-Hi GORE-TEX is all-terrain ready and designed to offer maximum protection from the elements. Built with Vans's most technically advanced and purpose-built all-weather technology-including GORE-TEX breathable waterproofing to keep you dry, a heat retaining Duratherm insulation package to keep you warm, and an All-Trac rubber outsole to keep you on your feet - this uncompromising Sk8-Hi upgrade delivers Vans' most progressive cold weather promises so that nothing stands between you and your next adventure. It is made with leather, textile, and synthetic uppers.
MOISTURE MANAGEMENT: Engineered with a breathable waterproof internal bootie that allows moisture to escape while keeping snow and rain out, the GORE-TEX® guarantees to keep you dry.
THERMOREGULATION: The 200G innovative Duratherm insulation package from GORE-TEX® allows breathability, waterproofness and reinforced insulation to respond to winter conditions.
TRACTION: The All-Trac cold weather rubber compound provides flexible underfoot lugs to bend with terrain changes, creating more surface area and better variable adaptability.
COMFORT AND SUPPORT: A single-density UltraCush™ moulded EVA footbed delivers enhanced comfort for all-day wear.
GORE-TEX®: GORE-TEX® products with EPE membrane technology are non-PFC laminate throughout, using recycled materials in the laminate’s textile component and reducing the amount of plastic waste.

Vans go back, way back.
Brothers Paul Van Doren and Jim Van Doren started the company in California in 1966, then known as The Van Doren Rubber Company. The Vans #44 Deck Shoe (now known as the Authentic) was born.
To this day, Vans has stayed true to their roots in Skateboarding, and its associated subcultures. The classics range still contains the original lineup, and the constant evolution of the brand has seen new technologies and innovation deliver new models that are not only fit for purpose on your board, but look just as great on the streets.
