Description
The "TANKER" series was first released in 1983 and is synonymous with PORTER.
It uses an original 3-layer structure fabric developed with the motif of the US Air Force flight jacket "MA-1". The 3-layer fabric of nylon twill (surface) + polyester cotton (middle layer) + nylon taffeta (back) is very light, and the soft feel of the bonding material and the vivid rescue orange on the back are eye-catching. This series is full of the thorough attention of Yoshida Kaban craftsmen in all processes from cutting to sewing and parts.
Metal fittings such as aluminium fasteners, snap buttons, eggplant hooks, etc., which were rare at the time of release, are intentionally made to peel off so that the aging will appear as they are used.
Taking influence from the legendary MA-1 flight jackets of the American Armed Forces, Japan’s Porter Yoshida & Co have crafted their ‘Tanker’ range with military precision. With a durable nylon outer shell, and superb multi-pocket functionality, the Tanker Shoulder Bag is perfectly suited to city life.
Two velcro secured front pockets have been included for security, while a zippered compartment with multiple utility pouches serves as the main storage area.

Porter-Yoshida & Co. was established in 1962 by Yoshida & Co, famous for exceptionally high standards in design and the manufacture of garments that are upheld to this very day.
Porter bags are produced exclusively in Japan, guaranteed J-quality in every garment. Most of the range is constructed with ultra-durable nylon which repels dirt and water, and the bags have a timeless appeal, which means they will both stay in style and last a lifetime.
