    Description

A knitted tennis bomber constructed from a blend of acrylic and ethically-sourced merino wool, designed as part of the Reissues collection. Featuring an all-over ribbed structure and traditional tennis ball pockets.

Ethically-sourced merino wool and acrylic blend knit
Tennis bomber shape with ribbed bomber neck, hem and cuffs
    All-over ribbed knit construction
    Metal zip-through design
    Tennis ball pockets

Inspired by designs from the Fred Perry archive, the Reissues collection reinterprets original pieces with directional styling. Harking back to the sunny courts of Los Angeles in the 1930s, when Fred owned the Beverly Hills Tennis Club, the most distinctive tennis styles are reissued with refined fabrics and finishes. The ultimate celebrity hang-out spot, the club became – not only the perfect spot for a tennis game – but a place to see and be seen, with Charlie Chaplin and Groucho Marx among its members.

Constructed from a soft merino wool-blend with details taken from the original tennis bomber, this zip-through cardigan takes note of the luxe leisurewear of the time.

    Fred Perry.

Triple Wimbledon champion Fred Perry was born to a cotton spinner. He played and fought his way through, always with style and despite the establishment. In 1952, he founded the Fred Perry brand, designing his first pique shirt the same year.

That shirt, the shirt, would transcend sportswear to streetwear on the backs of generation after generation of British youth subcultures. The shirt is the start and end of everything Fred Perry do, because it’s more than a shirt – it’s a rite of passage, it’s the uniform of the non-uniform. A true icon.
