    Description

The Winterfold Derby boot is crafted from brown waxy commander leather, known for its robustness and water-resistant properties. This boot is designed to withstand the elements, featuring Cheaney X Dainite rubber soles for superior grip. Its storm welt enhances water resistance, making it perfect for winter walks, ensuring your feet stay dry and comfortable in wet conditions.

The Derby Boot: Any boot with its facings stitched on top of the vamp can be classified as a Derby. Also known as 'open lacing', this style is of particular benefit to people with higher insteps and can be found on a variety of styles. Derbies are generally seen as more casual and offer an easy way to transition to casual outfits.

The '12508' Last: The 12508 has become a Cheaney classic since its introduction in 2009. Acting as the foundation for a variety of styles the 12508 is wonderfully versatile update on the classic 4436. This last has a real presence on the foot with a generous, rounded toe. Stay to true to size. Generous on the toes, comfortable fit.

The Dainite Sole: This famous UK-made sole has been produced by the Harboro Rubber Company. Since the early 1900s it has been a statement sole used in English Goodyear Welted footwear. The studded tread pattern is instantly identifiable but very effective, as it ensures the soles do not retain soil and are easy to clean. Harboro rubber compound is extremely durable and hardwearing also very comfortable for the wearer.

    Cheaney Shoes.

Joseph Cheaney established the company in 1886, and in 1896, along with his son Arthur, they moved to the site which the factory occupies today.
During the first 80 years of business, the factory made shoes exclusively for some of the finest retailers around the world, branded to their individual company requirements.

Northamptonshire is renowned as the home of quality English shoemaking, and Cheaney still leads the way with all styles still handmade in the original factory, using only the highest quality materials and the craftmanship and attention to detail they are renowned for.
