Description
Cheaney's Brixton boots are inspired by the timeless design of apron work boots. They feature supple brown nubuck grain and robust Vibram Mirto rubber soles, providing both traction, comfort, and contemporary style. With their ankle-high design, they pair effortlessly with cuffed or straight-leg trousers, offering versatility and sophistication for any occasion.
The Derby Boot: Any boot with its facings stitched on top of the vamp can be classified as a derby. Also known as 'open lacing', this style is of particular benefit to people with higher insteps and can be found on a variety of styles. Derbies are generally seen as more casual and offer an easy way to transition to casual outfits.
The Last: Developed in 2011 to coincide with Cheaney's 125th Anniversary, the 125 last has a classic but exceptionally versatile shape. Featuring an elongated almond toe and a sleek silhouette, this is English style and tradition at its best. The 125 is one of Cheaney's most revered and celebrated lasts, playing host to a myriad of styles.
Nubuck Leather: Nubuck is made from the outer layer of leather, which is sanded to create a soft, velvety surface. While it has a similar look and feel to suede, nubuck is slightly more durable due to its stronger grain structure. However, it is still prone to scratches and stains, requiring regular maintenance to keep its appearance. Nubuck offers a refined, versatile look that works well in both casual and semi-formal settings. Although it handles light moisture better than suede, nubuck is not fully water-resistant and benefits from protective treatments to maintain its quality over time.
The Mirto Outsole: Introduced in 1937, the Vibram sole revolutionised mountaineering footwear, greatly enhancing safety and performance. Its success led to widespread adoption across various types of footwear, renowned for their durability, flexibility, and excellent traction. Cheaney's Mirto sole features an 8mm through to add to its thickness, raising the overall height to 38mm at the heel, offering a utilitarian look without the heaviness typical of rubber soles.

Cheaney Shoes.
Joseph Cheaney established the company in 1886, and in 1896, along with his son Arthur, they moved to the site which the factory occupies today.
During the first 80 years of business, the factory made shoes exclusively for some of the finest retailers around the world, branded to their individual company requirements.
Northamptonshire is renowned as the home of quality English shoemaking, and Cheaney still leads the way with all styles still handmade in the original factory, using only the highest quality materials and the craftmanship and attention to detail they are renowned for.
