COVID-19: What We're Doing Regarding The Coronavirus
Current Situation: Business As Usual.
24/03/2020: UPDATE - We have extended our returns policy to 90 days as we realise it may be some time before customers are able to visit a post office to return an order. Should the situation continue for the foreseeable future we will extend this further.
23/03/2020: UPDATE - Ourselves and Royal Mail are still working to usual delivery times. However, as Royal Mail have suspended the 1pm Special Delivery guarantee, we have temporarily removed the option for guaranteed next day delivery. Standard Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery (2-3 working days) remains unaffected. Although international services on the UK side are unaffected, if placing an order from overseas, please check with your local postal service for their guidance and any delays they may be experiencing.
We wanted to give you a brief update on what we're doing in response to the coronavirus situation.
JEANSTORE management are following the impact both locally and globally, and our number one priority is the health and safety of our team members and our customers.
Our ability to process your online orders in a timely manner remains unaffected for now - orders are still being shipped on a daily basis and most of our stock deliveries are unaffected. As a precaution we have closed our bricks and mortar retail store, and affected team members will continue to be paid during this time.
Any team member that has the ability to work remotely from home is doing so, and we have re-arranged warehouse shifts to ensure no two members of staff are working in close proximity to each other, without impacting on the service we offer to our customers.
We will closely follow any guidance provided by the UK government that could affect us. We have increased the amount of workspace and surface cleaning that we already do every day, and staff members are wearing gloves at all times when picking/packing orders. As a team we are also strictly practicing social distancing and doing what we can to minimise any contact between team members and others working areas.
No member of our team has reported any symptoms so far, but anyone who feels sick or is concerned they might be will be asked to stay home.
Our website is open 24/7 and our phone lines are open Monday-Friday between 10am and 5pm. You can email us any time at email@example.com
As our staffing levels are depleted, we may on occasions have to temporarily suspend the telephone service, but we will always respond to emails each day regardless.
One area which will suffer a small impact is returns. To be on the safe side, we have decided not to handle any returns for a minimum of 3 days after delivery, so rather than returns being processed in 1-2 days, this may now be 3-5 days. This is in line with what pretty much all other retailers offer anyway (we're just usually much better!), so we're hoping this shouldn't inconvenience you too much.
We appreciate your support during this time, more than ever. As a small business, we are feeling the impact like everyone else. We really appreciate all orders still coming through and will continue to do our best to serve you to our usual high standards. If you'd like to browse the site or place an order, our Spring/Summer collection is now online with some great items at jeanstore.co.uk - as usual, we are offering the lowest prices, completely free returns, free UK delivery over £100, and flexible payment options like Pay Later with Klarna.
We understand that everyone is worried right now, but we're confident that we will get through it, hopefully a lot sooner than anyone expects.
Take care and wash those hands!
Ross & Luke
